What is Sampoornta Diwas?

Before the Summer Smagam this was a relatively unknown date in the Sikh Calendar. It celebrates the historic completion (sampoornta) of ‘Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee’ – the eternal Guru of the Sikhs. Within this divine scripture principles of humanity, gender equality and acceptance for all are propagated to the highest degree.

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee was written by the Sikh Gurus and Enlightened Saints from a diversity of castes, religions and ages. The universal teachings of meditation, honest livelihood and sharing your earnings, act as beacons of hope for all of humanity.
